The funny thing I think about when I read this is the true life story about how Tony Stark’s character is based partly on Musk. In a few of the movies its obvious though they kind of throw away the reality plotlines in some. got me thinking about all the crap he pulls in those movies that would be horrible for the company, but because the script demands it...he’s still ironman and he’s never REALLY held accountable for anything.
The difference between movies and reality.

My wife has to report to the SEC at her company . She was pretty shocked - said they never move this fast or aggressively, so they’re clearly not messing around with this, and perhaps trying to make an example of him.

The fall of Elon “Kanye” Musk.

I mean, this is a pretty open and shut case. He very publicly lied to the public in a way which had very real economic ramifications and got caught.

Is Stark Industries private? I’ m not saying that a comic book based movie series has to have any basis in reality, but could that be a justification for why Stark gets away with so much?

Yup. Will be interesting to see how Tesla’s board reacts.

Nobody reported on the other random shit Tesla did today , so this must be a hit piece on our lord Elon Sagan deGrasse-Tyson Dawkins Musk.

Pretty sure this is what's going to make Musk a supervillain.

Maybe the founder of Tesla will get pulled back in. That’d be hilarious.

Pretty ironic that Trump’s SEC is going after someone for making false claims via Twitter.

Ha yup. I work in financial reporting as well. All our jaws dropped when that tweet first hit and figured this would be coming sometime. Definitely is surprising how quickly they moved on it.

It seems like at some point in the movies’ timeline he takes it privat e to avoid having to make public disclosures...or at least he steps down and puts Pepper on the board, which seems like something he could only do if it was closely held or had been taken private.
